There's a lot of good micro quads out there, but I still think this is the best one for beginners. And it's still fun for non-beginners too, and my preferred indoor quad. It's light, well protected, props are screwed on, and with geared motors it has a longer lifespan. I've crashed my X11s dozens of times at high speed and have only replaced a couple props. I have other micros (like the Hubsan X4) and since the props aren't screwed on, they can easily be lost/damaged in even light crashes. With the X11 you spend more time flying and less time fixing and finding props. I had to replace motors on my X4 after a couple weeks, but my first X11 is still strong after a few months. It's got pretty decent speed/pitch on the high rates and is a lot of fun indoor and out. It's not the fastest of my collection, but the most reliable micro I've had and a definite recommend.

Not good in the wind Rubber buttons on the controller come off the sticks after awhile

1. Cheaper than Hubsan X4C. 2. Uses same batteries as the Hubsan; but they last MUCH longer in the Syma X11C. 3. LED lights are on bottom and easy to see at night. Hubsan puts theirs on TOP; tough to see them at night when above you. 4. Camera quality is better than X4C. AND it can be operated by the controller. NOT so on the Hubsan. 5. More stable flight and hovering than the X4C. 6. Prop protector CAN be installed WITHOUT having to remove the props. Hubsan? NO. Oh, and the Syma one snaps on; NO screws! 7. Tighter and easier to do flips and rolls. The Hubsan takes a very coordinated move to flip. The Syma; just push a button and move the right stick. 8. Comes with a 4gb microSD card. Hubsan? NO.
Suggestion:
1. The box is thin cheap cardboard. Not as reusable as the Hubsan's. 2. No LCD on controller; cannot adjust EACH channel's sensitivity individually like you can on the Hubsan X4C. 3. VERY short low-battery warning. Unlike the generous one you get with the Hubsan.

-Very durable -easy to fly -improved yaw speeds (still a little slow, but this is wanted for video.) -very stable -outdoor flight is nice, really not bad at all in low wind -indoor flight can almost be done hands free -very quiet -HUGE flight times (averaging about 11 minutes while recording WITH the propguard on.. -camera is in true 1280x720 @ 30fps -larger props that really slice the air -free falls level, without tumbling. -very nice gyro (can recover from almost ANY angle, even upside down.) -very nice price point for a great beginner quad that has an HD camera.
Suggestion:
-camera encoder is a little slow (image will bend, white balancing is a little slow.) -transmitter sometimes randomly loses connection. (close range, quad will continue last instruction when this happens instead of falling from the air..) -vortex ring state is an issue with weight of camera AND upgraded battery but is able to recover nicely with large props.

Easy to control in small spaces indoors. The prop guard really works. It can hold a hover very well in calm wind or fly it high outside. Cool LEDs makes it fun to fly in the dark. Or in daylight take pictures and video. Picture quality is clear and the color is correct. Printed instructions are good and accessories are thoughtful. And, it's quiet compared to others.
Suggestion:
The memory card that stores picture and video stopped working after a couple of weeks. Checked the camera with a different card and the camera still works fine. Needs high ceiling to use stunt function.

This (and the X11) is a very good beginner quad to start out with. It is very stable and can take a beating. The battery time is very good and spare parts are cheap and readily available. It can be flown both indoors and outdoors, although outdoors is where it shines. If you take off the prop guards it is also pretty agile.
Suggestion:
Slow jaw rate Sensitive to wind

My first Quad. I found it is very easy to fly. Hovering well. Yaw rate said to be too slow but for beginner there is okay. Stock battery do around 6.10 min from 40 minutes charge time. Durability is good, after more than 20 times 3 meters crash,It's still in one piece. Controller doing well.
Suggestion:
Video quality is just tolerable, but okay for its price. Photo quality is terrible, though.
